TARA Hospital is located in the heart of Mangalore city- Ganapathy High School Road, Mangalore.

The Tara Hospital was established by late Sri Padmanabha Manjunath Shenoy in 1970. It was then managed by late Dr. B. Ramesh Kamath and Dr. Bharathi. R. Kamath, a Gynecologist. Currently their son Dr.Janardhan Kamath, a physician and a qualified Nephrologist and his wife Dr. Anagha J. Kamath an OBG consultant and a qualified Gynecologist are managing the hospital.

The hospital was set up with an objective of imparting quality services of nursing including surgical & maternity healthcare to the people around. The hospital aims to give specialty health care in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Urology, Orthopedics, General surgery, General Medicine & Oncology. The hospital also aims at providing advancement of quality medical services to the people of this region.
